Magnificent Bird!
Just last week we received a call from a local game warden. Some workers in Trinity were clearing some property and came across an injured bald eagle on the ground. One of our rehabbers went out to pick the bird up and transport him to one of our vet partners (Pets Paw in Conroe). The eagle has a broken wing, so his wing was wrapped to prevent further injury. We then transported the eagle to another rehabber who is permitted to rehabilitate eagles (special Federal permit). This is the first bald eagle we have assisted; while they are found in our area, they are not widespread. What a beautiful bird! We will post an update on his condition when we have news.
